Monday, May 27 - Kombini Party (2wk, 4wk and I house residents)

Kombini Party!

In order to get together with 2wk, 4wk and Senshu I-House residents, we organized "Kombini Party"!

The original idea was to buy everything from Convenience stores but thanks to RAs, we had much better food and had so much fun 😊

Saturday, May 25 & Sunday, May 26

Students were out to stay with their host families. This weekend is an unexpectedly hot weekend. 

I was blessed that no one got sick and came back safely on Sunday.

Friday, May 24 - Home visit （ホームステイ）

Students will stay with Japanese families this weekend. 

Most of them seemed very nervous. It may be because the information they have from Japanese textbook. According to the textbook, Japanese host mother seems very strict, etc... 😟

Thursday, May 23 - Explore Tokyo #3 Tokyo National Museum (Tohaku 東博）

We went to Tohaku.

I found a easy way to go to Ueno Park!

We took Chiyoda Line to Nezu Station to avoid Shinjuku.

Wednesday, May 22 - Free afternoon

It was a quiet day since we have no meeting this afternoon.

This is International House (I-House) from Senshu campus.

Tuesday, May 21 - Presentation

We had Group Presentation today.

Many Senshu students came to see between their classes.

Monday, May 20 - Book store (Shinjuku)

I planned to go to Bonjinsha book store in Tokyo (Kojimachi), however, there were only 4 students who were interested in going. Therefore, we decided to go to Kinokuniya Book store in Shinjuku.

As I expected, I made a couple of mistakes to find the way, but surprisingly, we managed to go to the East exit from the West exit 😌

Sunday, May 19 - Free day

It was the first free day for students.

I walked around Senshu University.

The university is located next to the green area, there are lot of trees around.

Saturday, May 18 - Kamakura

This Kamakura tour is organized by Senshu University.

Friday, May 17 - Calligraphy class

Calligraphy class with Matsuo-sensei.

Thursday, May 16 - Homestay Orientation

We always have something after class.

Students had a Homestay orientation meeting this afternoon.

Wednesday, May 15 - Free afternoon

This is a typical rainy day in International House.

Umbrellas are nicely placed to dry.

Amami island has entered Tsuyu (the rainy season). We will see more rain in the Kanto region (near Tokyo) as more areas start to enter the rainy season one after another from now on.
